Winner of the Mahindra Excellence In Theatre Awards 2025 were announced, with Bengali play NIHSANGO ISHWAR emerging as the top winner with prizes for Best Original Script to Suman Saha and Soham Gupta, Best Stage Design and Best Actor in a Lead Role (Male) to Suman Saha, and Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) Chandrani Sarkar.

Best Director, Best Sound and Best Music Design went to Akshay Singh Thakur for SWANG: JAS KI TAS, which also won Best Actor in Supporting Role for (Male) Abhishek Gautam; Best Light Design went to Badal Das for CHANDAA BEDNI, also Best Actor in a Lead Role (Female) to Ranjini Ghosh and Best Choreography to Subhojiet Guha and Madhumita Chakraborty; Best Costume Design to Rajeshwari Kodagu for DASHANANA SWAPNASIDDHI, Best Ensemble to SWANG: JAS KI TAS and CHANDAA BEDNI.

The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Shanta Gokhale, playwright, translator and theatre critic.
