Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest is back for its 15th edition, once again bringing together a vibrant mix of writers, readers, and literary enthusiasts from across the globe. Since its founding in 2010 by the late Anil Dharker, this festival has become a beacon for literary excellence in India, celebrated for its inclusive approach to the written word and its ability to create meaningful dialogues on a variety of topics. Over the years, it has built a reputation as one of the most significant arts and literature festivals in India, drawing audiences eager for thoughtful discussions, innovative ideas, and creative exploration.

This year’s lineup is nothing short of thrilling. The festival will showcase a diverse range of voices - from renowned authors and emerging writers to celebrated poets and thinkers. Attendees can expect conversations that dive deep into literature’s role in society, exploring themes as varied as social justice, identity, environment, politics, and human emotions. These discussions are bound to inspire new perspectives and give readers a deeper understanding of the world around them.

One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the array of book launches, where authors will introduce their latest works, offering fresh stories and ideas. The book launches allow fans to engage directly with authors, often followed by insightful Q&A sessions that foster deeper connections between readers and writers. These events provide authors a platform to reach a wider audience and help readers discover books they might not have come across otherwise.

Apart from author panels and discussions, the Mumbai LitFest offers hands-on workshops that make it an interactive experience for all. These workshops cover various topics, such as creative writing, storytelling, publishing insights, and even social media strategies for writers. Aspiring writers and those interested in the mechanics of storytelling have a chance to learn directly from industry experts, gaining practical tips and guidance that can help shape their own work. Such sessions make the festival accessible and beneficial to all levels of literary enthusiasts - from the casual reader to the serious writer.

The Mumbai LitFest also goes beyond just words on paper. With poetry readings, theatrical performances, and visual art displays, the festival celebrates literature in all its forms, recognizing the role of storytelling across mediums. These performances create a dynamic cultural atmosphere, showcasing the festival’s dedication to not only literature but also the broader spectrum of arts.

This inclusive spirit has been a key part of its appeal, making the LitFest not just an event for book lovers but a platform for social discourse and change.

Alongside appearances by celebrated personalities like Subhash Ghai, Ila Arun, and Gulzar, the festival’s highlight is an extraordinary collection of performances that bring literature and the arts to life. Two highly anticipated performances include:
