Manoj Shah's theatre company Ideas Unlimited presents BHAMASHA. The group is well-known for dramatising biographies in Gujarati but this time around it has chosen to present the biography of Bhamasha in Hindi. Bhamasha served as an advisor to Maharana Pratap and helped him fight the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The play also celebrates other facets of Bhamasha's life. The story is by Dr Bipin Doshi while the dramatisation has been done by Mihir Bhuta.
There is buzz around this production of Ideas Unlimited as the recorded narration is by Om Puri, there are voice-overs by Yashpal Sharma, there is an orchestra led by artist Chugge Khan, the music has been composed by Kanhaiya while the set design by Kabir Thakore seems to have re-created the era as it was 450 years back.
The cast also features accomplished actors like Dayashankar Pandey (he plays Bhamasha), Dharmendra Gohil, Ahlam Khan, Pulkit Solanki, Aishwarya Mehta, Jay Upadhyay and others.
The play opens on Saturday, January 26 2013 at 7 pm at Tata Theatre.
