Award-Winning META Festival Plays to Be Staged at NCPA

The Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META) celebrates its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of recognizing and honouring exceptional achievements in Indian theatre. Since its inception, META has been a platform for highlighting the creativity, talent, and dedication of theatre artists across the country, bringing diverse voices to the forefront. As it enters its 20th year, META continues to celebrate the vibrancy of India's theatrical landscape and inspire innovation in the performing arts.

In honour of this milestone, the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai will present four award-winning plays from the META Festival for the first time at its Experimental Theatre, from December 19 to 22, 2024. The showcased plays are:


ANDHA YUG

This unique four-day event promises a dynamic and diverse theatrical experience with critically acclaimed performances in Hindi, Assamese, and Bundeli. Along with the plays, the showcase will include a series of workshops and discussions, giving audiences an opportunity to delve deeper into the spirit of theatre.
