COMEDY SCRIPT WRITING

A 2-day fun-filled workshop on writing English comedy for Indian audiences. You get to construct your own scripts, create screenplays, invent characters and learn the intricacies of directing for the stage, television and movies. If you are new to screenwriting, planning to write a screenplay or script of any kind, this may just be the workshop for you. The workshop will conclude with a performance by the participants to showcase their scripting, acting and directional skills.

Anuvab Pal, who will conduct the workshop, is an acclaimed playwright, screenwriter, novelist and standup artist. He is the writer of plays such as THE PRESIDENT IS COMING, 1 888 DIAL INDIA, CHAOS THEORY and THE BUREAUCRAT. His films include 'The President Is Coming' (based on his play) and 'Loins Of Punjab Presents'. He is a former columnist of Time Out Mumbai, Midday, Vogue, GQ. He has written two novels based on his plays and one non-fiction book on the film ''Disco Dancer. He's just finished 100 shows for The Comedy Store Mumbai.
