The 17th edition of the Nehru Centre's theatre festival will take place from 23-30 September 2013. The multi-lingual festival will stage old and new plays in seven languages including Kannada, Bengali, Urdu and Punjabi besides Hindi, Marathi and English.

Among the plays to be staged at the festival are the Dakhani Urdu version of QULI-DILON KA SHAZAADA designed by MS Sathyu, Ramu Ramanathan's POSTCARDS FROM BARDOLI (English), Padmashree awardee Dr Sitanshu Yashashchandra's VAISAKHI KOYAL (Gujarati), Premanand Gajvi's classic GANDHI-AMBEDKAR, which has been translated into Kannada, Suresh Chikale's PROPOSAL (Marathi) which recreates lifelike Mumbai local train compartments, Dr Ujal Chattopadhyay's MANASI (Bengali) and Keval Dhaliwal's MERA RANG DE BASANTI CHOLA (Punjabi).

Entry is free to all performances with the festival passes. It is likely that the festival passes have already been taken but if there's a performance you would like to see, you may turn up on the day of the show and with luck may get entry.
