TIME: 1:30pm to 4:30pm every Sunday for 3 hours DATES: June 19th, 26th, July 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st and August 7th Improvisation (Or known as Improv) is a form of spontaneous comedy that ditches pre-determined scripts, where the plot/ story/ characters of a game/ scene/ monologue are made up in the moment. BEGINNERS CLASS Improv is an important tool for about everyone in life. Discover how to actively listen, to use your own life to create stories, and work on the fundamental principles of improvisation. The class will focus on team building and the concept that �If your teammate looks good, then you will look good�. Emphasis will be placed on understanding and utilizing basic scene work skills and most importantly, having fun. Lots of laughs and lots of stage time. Learn 8 basic Improv games that you would see in Improv Show. This class will do a short 50-minute opening set for the Student Showcase. You do not need to have any stage experience to attend this class. MAXIMUM STUDENTS: 20 CLASS LOCATION: The HIVE, 50, Chuim Village Road, Mumbai 400052 MH, India ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: NAVEEN KAUSHIK an actor in theatre, films, television and media for the last 17 years has been a part of Improv Comedy Mumbai from the beginning. A member of its ensemble cast since 2009, Naveen was part of the very first Indian improv headlining team in Impro Amsterdam 2011. Currently he is one of the senior performers/directors of ICM's short form format IMPROVSHOTS and of ICM's longform team POPCORN. Naveen has appeared in movies like Rocket Singh-salesman of the year, Yeh jawaani hai deewani, Ferrari Ki Sawaari, Dev D, etc. He brings a unique blend of theatrical expertise to his training which enhances the performance aspects of improv. ANKIT CHALLA is a comic artist with immense energy striving forever to bring smiles on people's faces. He has been an integral part of ICM since inception. Hardcore passion lies in being onstage amidst group of people and giving all he has to entertain one and all. Still doing his day job and managing his love for improv as well.
