This workshop is designed to cover the fundamentals of acting using the tools of characterization. The workshop will explore acting techniques using the below pointers.
*Individual Theatre exercises for here and now.
*Group activities to build cohesiveness in the room.
*Individual exercises which will lead to a group work.
*Actors characterization leading to Scene work
*Final presentation by the groups of 3 to 5 mins

About Sandeep Shikhar:
Sandeep Shikhar has been a theatre practitioner for over two decades. He is a playwright, director and an actor. He has received his theatre training from the Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, New Delhi, 2002. He has acted in national and international forums/stages under reputed directors of the country. He is a core member of Anjuman, a Hindi-Urdu Writers Collective in Bangalore. He is a member of the Lincoln Centre Director's Lab, New York, since 2012. Of the five plays he has written, 'Treadmill' was selected for the First Festival of contemporary Indian Theatre in Paris, 2013. He is a three times nominee for Best Actor in a lead role in Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards 2013, 2015, and 2018. As an actor and writer he has collaborated with various countries like Germany, Romania, Burkina Faso, Switzerland, South Africa, Belgium and Brazil. He is a recipient of Vinod Doshi Fellowship Award 2016-2017. He has acted in few web-series and films which are available on Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ hotstar.

D for Drama is a Mumbai based theatre group that blends modernity and tradition. A group of enterprising theatre personalities have come together with the vision to collaborate with a plethora of creative minds, creating unique works of theatre each time. Formed in 2012 by Kumud Mishra & Ghanshyam Lalsa, it is primarily a group of actors looking forward to try something exciting with new writers and directors each time.
