HAYE MAAR DALA RE Review
Entertainment is the fuel that keeps theatre alive. There are plays that cater to a select audience that has a cultivated taste but it is the creations that entertain that create a market for theatre in the first place. HAYE.. MAAR DALA RE is a play that has huge entertainment value. It is a contemporary play with hardly a moment that is not utilized to entertain. It is also suitable for those who hardly watch plays.
It is written in a manner that gives every actor adequate scope to showcase their acting skills. The actors perform well. Each of them has their own story. This is in contrast to most of the usual plays in which only the main cast has key roles.
The play is about the love story of a boy and girl who are unable to form a stable relationship due to their uncertain careers as well as an unhelpful parent. Interspersed are various other characters. Such as a guy who repairs their bicycles and whose workshop is the place where the lovers meet. It also shows how the youth today is unable to find a dream and leads a drab life.
The play is written with a lot of effort. However, this being the first show, there is scope for improvement in the storyline. Magic moments can be expected in the future editions. A little more music could also help the audience catch their breath and sit back and relax. This apart, the play was justifiably performed to a house full audience in Prithvi Theatre. Without banking on a well-known actor or a popular presenter or a famous subject, being a hit is no common task. It is bold in treatment and can be offensive to puritan sections of society.
