Dear Readers,
The highlights this week:

Ajay Krishnans TRIVIAL DISASTERS, directed by Atul Kumar, opens in Mumbai this weekend. Kalki Koechlin, Purab Kohli, Cyrus Sahukar and Richa Chadda are acting in the play.
Also this weekend, Naseeruddin Shahs Motley returns to Prithvi theatre with its production of Jerome Kiltys DEAR LIAR, directed by Satyadev Dubey and its other well-known play ISMAT AAPA KE NAAM, that has dramatised three stories by the famed and controversial Urdu writer, Ismat Chugtai.

Reviews of UNCLE VANYA (by Stagecraft Theatre, Nagpur) and MADBETH (by Rupesh Tillu) are now available on our website.
Click here to read an interview with Bertie Watkins of CoLab theatre, which is based in the UK. Watkins theatre company uses computer-generated sensory inputs/augmented reality to create theatre experiences and to make them immersive.
For art beyond theatre, we recommend you visit the Jehangir Art Gallery at Kala Ghoda for an exhibition in memory of Prafulla Dahanukar. The exhibition has several of her paintings including many of the landscapes with her signature style. In another section, works of various famous Indian artists with whom she had a connection are also displayed. The exhibition ends on 3rd August.
Cheers,
Deepa Punjani
