From times immemorial, we have revered the female energy or Stree shakti - in our mythology, history, and to the present day politics - women have wielded power in India. This play bring forth all the powerful women on stage and then sheds light on the current scenario of violence against women.

In a nation with a lady president - female infanticide is still prevalent, a nation which has women serving in the armed forces - women are being raped and violated. The play makes an attempt to revive women empowerment by stripping a new born girl of her identity and naming her 'Anamika' - so that she grows up into an individual without any prejudices.
