After the birth of their child, Ketan and Rutika move to Panchgani leaving their settled life in Mumbai behind. They look forward to the large house, open lands, and clear skies. Before the renovation of the old house they've purchased is complete, Ketan leaves for an excursion and returns a week later. That is when Rutika tells him, that the house, is haunted.
On the same evening, they play host to Sonali, Ketan's college bestie, and Durgesh, her quirky boyfriend. As the friction between the rational Ketan and the hysteric Rutika escalates from undertones to overtones, Rutika spills the beans: she tells Sonali and Durgesh about the paranormal occurrence in the house. Sonali, a psychologist is sympathetic without committing to her belief. Durgesh, a self-confessing "spiritual but not religious" man gives further wind to Rutika's experience. But much to her chagrin, Ketan dismisses it outright, prompting her to take up the challenge. She announced that no one would leave the house that night.
