This award-winning play scans the changing face of Mumbai which was once the city of mill workers and how it has transformed into a city of builders today. This is the story of a millworker who has disposed off his city property for a huge amount and has been rehabilitated in the far-flung suburbs. His chawl has given way to a swank high-rise tower. When he re-visits his locality, he finds himself totally alienated. The play also probes the strained inter-personal relationships - between the mill worker and his wastrel son who cares only for money. The humble mill worker feels that he has forfeited his valued relationships at the altar of urbanization. A socio-political play based in the period of 1985-2011.
