The happily married life of Kumud Apte is shattered when her husband Prabhakar Apte dies of a heart attack. The grief-stricken widow tries to cope with her loss when one day, a month after her husband's death, she is faced by another brutal reality; her husband Prabhakar had always been in love with someone else-a woman also named Kumud.
