SANKRANTHI

SANKRANTHI

By MTG editorial

'SANKRANTHI' is a play representing the social conditions of the 12th century. The tragic love narrative of Rudra, a youth from the untouchable caste, and Usha, a Brahmin girl, depicts how they fall prey into the webs of societal hierarchy and power. The play delves deeply into the concept of inter-caste marriage within the Basava tradition and the challenges it faces in practicality.
