Mahesh kumar and his wife, deepa, have a disagreement regarding the education of their daughter Rashmi .

Deepa wants her to stay at home and become an artist, while Mahesh wants Rashmi to move to mumbai and study to be a teacher. Mahesh says that his decision is final, and that the law supports him, because, he points out, the woman sells her rights when she agrees to be married. The argument grows and becomes fierce.

Deepa , cunning & manipulative, lies to the family doctor that Mahesh may be mad .

In the struggle to control the future of their child rashmi both mahesh and deepa try to dominate each other .

Ultimately deepa comes up with a strong argument that what if mahesh is not the real father of the child .

The play explores the conflict within the structure of marriage regarding paternity and its tragic results
