SUGANDHI Story :

narrates the story of the everyday struggles of a prostitute named Sugandhi. A kind-hearted girl who craves for love and genuine affection, Sugandhi develops an emotional attachment with Madho, a hawaldar from Pune, who is a regular client. Madho loves Sugandhi and often implores her to give up the trade and live an honourable life with him. Her life takes a turn when one night Sugandhi’s pimp, Ramlal takes her to a rich customer waiting in a car at midnight. When she meets the customer, he shines a flashlight on her and makes a dissatisfied remark before driving off. The rejection triggers an emotional outburst in Sugandhi which eventually affects her relationship with Madho. Will Sugandhi give up prostitution for a respectable life?
