PASHMINA (SAJIDA SAJI) Story :

Set against the backdrop of Kashmir, the play revolves around two elderly couples, Amar and Vibha, on their annual leave in search of an authentic Pashmina shawl. Encountering another couple, Ravinder and Sweety Dhillo, who share their aspiration, the narrative unfolds with questions about budget and warmth.

Amidst their quest, the play exposes the harsh realities of life, where both ‘seller’ and ‘buyer’ have suffered the loss of a beloved son. Whether a mother seeking a shawl as a martyr or a father mourning his artisan son, the stories intertwine. The overarching theme highlights that adverse situations are experienced by the people, not just the land.

The play underscores the emotional depth of those who have lived through such circumstances, contrasting with the detached perspective of a clever buyer.
