PARK (HIMANSHU SHARMA)

PARK (HIMANSHU SHARMA)

By MTG editorial

Writer : Himanshu Sharma
Director : Manav Kaul

It is a comedy about three people fighting for their place in a park. There are three benches but not enough. The play touches upon tha thing which is at a premium these days – space – literally and metaphorically. What starts as light-hearted banter evolves into a serious conflict about space, territory, and ownership. These become the main issues.

Park can be many things. It can be a metaphor for home. In the course of the conversation – mostly heated and combative – personal and larger politics come to the fore, revealing the fragility of life and emotion
