MANTO KE KHAUFNAAK AFSANE Story :

Saadat Hasan Manto is best known for his stories which reveals the bitter truth of the society. Majorly based on the theme of conflict, fear, loyalty, trust, hatred and betrayal.

Manto ke khaufnaak afsane involves his two bold stories - Thanda Gosht and Sarkando Ke Peeche

Thanda Gosht is the story about the communal violence of 1947. Ishwar singh, fails to make love to his mistress Kulwant. She suspects him of infidelity and in a fit of jealousy stabs him with his own dagger. A classic drama of love, pain and seperation revealing the close reality of partition and how a man’s lust can end up his own life.

On the other hand, Sarkando ke peeche, the dark theme play is intricately woven around three different aspects of womanhood in three different women. And admist innocence, boldness and fatal obession, there lies a man, Hebat deeply in love. Power packed with mystery and dark side of the rich and powerful, this is perfect example of how the society undress itself.

A combination of these daring dramatic stories come and experience phases of life.
