The play is being presented as a children's play, although it's music and rhythm gives it an appeal to a much wider age group. KAHANI LE LO is a two-act musical that dances and sings to the rhythm of the tales from the Panchatantra.
Written almost entirely in verse, the play is a simple retelling of the lessons from Vishnu Sharma's age-old classic aimed at children of the Internet age. Starting with the story behind the origin of the Panchatantra tales, the play moves into the world of two friends Sachcha and Jhutha who encounter a donkey that doesn't know when to hold its tongue.
They then meet four friends too smart for their own good, and learn from a Pundit that wishful thinking can never replace action. Teaching lessons even as it entertains, KAHANI LE LO' combines the old with the new drawing on the sublime simplicity of the Panchatantra.
