The play 'Jaun Elia Ka Jinn' begins with the tomb of Jaun which is located in Karachi. John rises from his grave and only then a genie appears. Which is related to Jaun Elia's family i.e. Amrohe. Basically, the author travels through the tragic biography of Jaun Elia through the fictional characters Conscious Mind, Subconscious Mind, and Unconscious Mind to travel past and present. This journey involves humor as well as compassion. When the conscious mind i.e. Jaun Elia talks to her subconscious mind i.e. Jinn, the layers of Jaun's biography and knowledge begin to open in front of the audience. When they reach, they find Mir, Ghalib, Manto, and Mushafi present there. The scene becomes even more interesting when the subconscious mind means those who do not see these characters of the subliminal mind Mir, Ghalib, Mushafi, and Manto. The whole drama takes place in the graveyard itself and most of the characters of the drama are no longer physically in the world. The interestingness of the story has been maintained till the end by mixing fiction and reality. Efforts have been made to present the facts as they are, even after taking creative exemptions.
