FILMISH

FILMISH

By MTG editorial

Writer : Shivam Dhall
Director : Raja Subramaniyam, Shivam Dhall

The play is set up in 1990. It revolves around a few office colleagues who believe there is nothing exciting about their life. It is just a melancholic, boring life. But there is an escape- Films. Cinema is ‘The excitement.’ But one of them (Om) is fed up with the films too. He believes films are just a set of cliché videos, a bunch of repeated stories, and a list of songs that never end. But none of the others agree with him. Turns out that Om is writing his own film, a film that he would like to see. Everybody wants to hear the story. The story reading then turns into an enactment. The story that Om started became just another Hindi film full of songs, over-the-top entries, and unrealistic plots, all thanks to the involvement of his colleagues. But the end turns out to be something that was not expected at all by anyone in the room.
