Vaidya, a famous and reputed author, speaker and professor, in his quest for success, could never quite devote himself fully to his wife or daughter. Diya, his daughter, is now married to Kanav, a theatre artist; something which doesn't fit into Vaidya's model of a son-in-law.
After long, Vaidya plans to visit Diya and stay with her for a few days. In the process, he begins to discover the overshadowed 'father' within him while also nurturing an emotional connection with his daughter, something she always craved dearly. This father-daughter bonding has the entertaining Kanav in its backdrop, a man who can never get tired of dealing witty punches.
Things take a rather awkward and funny turn when Avni, an old student and an ardent fan of Vaidya, happens to run into him and starts seeing him often. Kanav plays the pacifier as Diya begins to feel insecure. Vaidya is at crossroads too between his newfound relationship with his daughter and his engrossing moments with Avni.
