The entire treatment including the father - Son conflict is humorous. The father very tactfully makes his son realize about the sacrifices he has made in his life to lift up the family without compromises on his ideals and principles.
To sum up every father and mother go out on their own way to better the life of their children. But when this very children taunt them saying they did nothing for them, triggers a reaction in father's mind to teach them a lesson for life.
In the end son bows down to the fathers principal and salutes his sacrifices and all is well and that's end well.
