SOUNDS OF SILENCE

This play is based on the life of the legendary composer Ludwig Van Beethoven. It tells the heart warming story of the great musician, who lived in the 18th century. The play depicts a series of events from his life. He was a man of great talent, but nearly deaf while he was only 30 and completely deaf there on, and of how he successfully overcame this barrier of sound and presented some of his best work in the form of his popular symphonies.

Even if we do not listen to western classical music, many of us hear Beethoven's music in our day to day lives- in elevators, commercials, and films. In this play we bring alive the maestro's genius and his passion for musi as his life saga unfolds from a 9 year old boy to the ebb of his life-deaf, sick, yet composing his best work.
