Sai Paranjpye To Direct a New Play

Veteran stage and film director and playwright, Sai Paranjpye is all set to return to the theatre at the age of 85.

According to a report in Maharashtra Times, the play Paranjpye has written and directed, starring Mangesh Kadam and Leena Bhagwat is set to open later this month. She revealed that the play is about an 80-year-couple and is a black comedy. The title had not yet been finalised.

Over a decade ago, Paranjpye had directed one of her own plays titled AALBEL, after which she got busy with her autobiography.
