In this 'Mumbai Local', Devdutt Pattanaik will redefine myths- subjectives truth of people communicated through stories, symbols and rituals. Why do we cling to old definitions? How does it impact art? How does it impact day-to-day life? Come, see these stories through his eyes at Mumbai Local.

About Devdutt Pattanaik:

Dr Devdutt Pattanaik writes and lectures on the relevance of mythology in modern times. Trained in medicine, he spent 15 years in healthcare and pharmaceutical industries including Apollo Health Street and Sanofi Aventis, before joining Ernst & Young as Business Advisor. All this while, he spent his spare time studying and writing on sacred stories, symbols and rituals and their impact on culture.That is when he met Kishore Biyani of Future Group (Big Bazaar, Pantaloon, Central) who convinced him to turn his passion into his profession.

His columns on management and culture appear in Economic Times while his shows are popular in CNBC and CNBC Awaaz. He has written over 25 books and 400 articles on mythology for people of all age groups.
