A play that changed your perception about theatre
Its a Gujarati play. Shailesh Daves RAMAT SHUNYA CHOKDI. Its a very old play. But yes, I was so impressed by it that it indeed changed my perception about theatre.
How do you regard the Mumbai theatre scene?
Its an incredibly diverse theatre with different genres and languages.
If you have ever been a part of a theatre production/s, can you recall an event that was insightful, significant or simply humorous?
During one of our shows of MEERA at Prithvi, one of our actresses went blank on stage. Yes, she actually forgot her dialogues! However since shes a professional theatre artiste, she didnt panic and handled the situation calmly.
Life in the theatre without the humble batata-wada or the cutting chai or if you please brownies that are snuggling chocolate bits or can you recall the best gastronomic experience you've had in the precincts of the theatre to date?
The Batata Wada with Chai at Dinanath Mangeshkar Theatre are the things I look forward to on every visit to Dinanath Natyagruha.
