MTG editorial
Many Hindi stage comedies have been about blundering couples. How is your play different? BAAT BAAT MEIN BIGDEY HAALAT is not just about blundering couples but about blundering individuals and situations. It is a story of seven unique characters stuck under one roof. The location is a beautiful hotel. The bizarre characters and their circumstances make the play different and hilarious
How long did you take to write it? I was always working on the script simultaneously with my film scripts. But in the last six months I got totally involved with the script. So technically speaking it took me around six months to be precise.
"If you want to have a hearty laugh, BAAT BAAT MEIN BIGDEY HAALAT..."
How do you think the play will be received? We are confident that it will be a big hit with all age groups because it gurantees complete entertainment for two hours. It is a laugh riot all the way with dances and songs on stage. If you want to have a hearty laugh, BAAT BAAT MEIN BIGDEY HAALAT gives you just that and more.
Are you writing anything else at the moment? I have completed the screenplay and dialogues for two feature films. One is a romantic comedy with a big banner. It is a launch film for an upcoming star and the second one is a black comedy 'Marne Bhi Do Yaaron'. We hope to start shooting for both by the year end. Inshaallah.
What is your dream project as a writer? My dream project as a writer is 'Marne Bhi Do Yaaron.' It is a landmark film for me as a writer. It is something to look out for.
