Daring to be different television and stage actress, producer and director hits back this winter with her entertaining Hindi play titled 'Dikhti.. khoob ho !'. Magnifying and projecting every facet and serious issues of man-woman relationship Gupta is now in for some lighter stuff.
The play is adapted from the works of the popular French renaissance playwright Moliere's School for Wives. The story revolves around an old chronic bachelor who makes great efforts to train and teach a young girl so that when he marries her she becomes a perfect wife loyal to the fault. But the things take a head on when the wife-to-be gets a young boyfriend. This farcical comedy penned by Moliere has been enacted and staged by many all over the world. Interesting piece of news is that this very play was presented last year in Dubai under the banner of Rangmanch and was called 'Dil hi to hai'.
Neena who shares the plank with Rajendera Gupta and Amit Behl also directs the humorous play brought by the Sahaj theatre troupe. Sahaj was in news last year for its classic play 'Surya ki pehli kiran se surya ki antim kiran tak' about an impotent King (played by Rajendera Gupta) and his beautiful wife (played by Neena Gupta).
