This hard hitting play deals with the issue of caste - based discrimination, that still very much is part of our social fabric. A lot has changed in terms of education and scientific progress since the independence of India, but this vile discrimination continues.
A junior ranked army man, Ramchander, one day, picks up his gun and shoots down his two senior officers. One of the officer dies and the other one survives. The army now orders a Court Martial against Ramchander, to prove his crime and decide his punishment.
This play comprises the proceedings of this Court in which the defence lawyer, the extremely sharp Bikash Ray, goes deep into the motive behind the assault and exposes the ugly and shocking truth.
Does Bikash Ray finally succeed in getting justice for Ramchander? The answer is found in the climax of the play.
