Abhijit and Devika Nanavati are a rich couple. Devika Nanavati is a Judge by Profession but has grown to be frustrated with her work. She is therefore on the verge of resigning. The couple has an eighteen year old son called Jay. Jay has a passion for cricket. He has been selected for the team of under 19 against Australia. The family is full of joy.
On the day of his departure for Australia Jay faints and a medical check up reveals that both his kidneys have failed. A kidney transplantation is possible but Jay's parents refuse to donate one of theirs. Jay is shocked. He feels that his parents do not love him and are hypocritical in his feelings for him. Devika then reveals to him that he is not their son and therefore the kidney donation is not possible. Devika explains her situation and the search starts for Jay's blood mother. The family finds her and she is willing to give up one of her kidneys for Jay's sake. But then begins a quarrel over Jay. Jay's blood mother wants him back. Will Devika Nanavati win the most important case of her life ever?
