The biggest thing that worries Kachra, the little sweeper boy is whether Amma would let him have pickles with his roti or not. Kachra is happy and smart and has dreams of having a cleaning business one day, where everyone wears bright blue uniforms and gets paid by cheques at the end of the month. Cheque, not cash. Oh, and he wants his own cellphone so that he can do business. And as for school, that's what he and Amma usually have the pickle fight about. Kachra isn't sure if school will make his dreams come true. Amma is convinced it'll make his dreams better.
One hot afternoon, Kachra's best friend takes him to a movie set where the plan is to meet a famous actress. The boys do manage to meet her but they also manage to encounter a few of her not-so-lovely friends. And somehow, somewhere along the way, they re transported into a universe so magical and irrational and nonsensical and mad, that they can hardly tell the difference between what is real and what is a dream. Follow the biggest adventure Kachra will ever have as he goes from real life to reel life, from dreams to dancing on the moon and ultimately has to make the choice between a real villain and a dream hero.
Be prepared to laugh till you cry, as little Kachra makes his way through a big big world, filled with all the nonsense he has to sweep up!
