The Ideal Drama And Entertainment Academy (IDEA) organises its inter-collegiate drama competition - 'The P L Deshpande Trophy' each year.

• The play should be 30 minutes in duration (inclusive of setting the stage, lights, music arrangements, etc for the performance)
• The language should be Hindustani (Hindi/Urdu).
• There should be no vulgar language or remarks hurting the emotions of any caste, creed or religion.
• Vulgarity in language or actions will lead to negative marking for the team.One should take care not to hurt any religion or community
• Performance will be evaluated individually as well as on the basis of team work
• Play having an educative message for the audience or based on current issues will be an advantage for the team.
