Those of us who watched BR Chopra's famous tele-series of the Mahabharata (1988) will recall the actors who essayed the characters. Perhaps the most popular among them was Nitish Bharadwaj who played Krishna.

He is back to playing his most memorable role in the play CHAKRAVYUH at the 'Rang Mumbai' festival in Mumbai. The play has been written and directed by Atul Satya Koushik.

When contacted about his Krishna comeback on stage, Nitish Bharadwaj said: "Initially I had butterflies in my stomach as to how people would respond to me after 25 years. But the audience response has been overwhelmingly warm, receptive and I am happy about it. However, performing a live show is always a risky thing because you don't have a 'Take 2' as in films; so I can never be complacent about my performance. I treat each show as the first one and work on it."

CHAKRAVYUH with Nitish Bharadwaj will be performed at Sophia Bhabha auditorium on 21st December at 8 pm.
