The Helen O'Grady system is a developmental drama system that was founded in Australia in 1979. The system is widely used in over 25 countries across the globe. In India, Helen O'Grady International Pvt. Ltd. has partnered exclusively with Govind Knowledge Ventures Pvt. Ltd. since 2003 to promote and propagate the Helen O'Grady system in the country. The idea behind this drama programme is to enhance the learning process in a valuable, fun and inclusive manner.
Director Harsh Seksaria was fascinated by the energy of the Helen O' Grady drama classes while on a visit to New Zealand and decided to bring the programme to India. Arpita Mittal has been instrumental in launching the programme in India. She has been trained in the exclusive methodology of this drama system by Helen O' Grady herself. With a Masters in English, she has had multiple years of teaching experience in various colleges in Mumbai and has done language supervision for the Swedish and the Canadian Embassies and for Walt Disney, India.

The objectives behind the 'Let's Act' drama competition are:
To offer opportunities to young people for learning outside the formal classroom in order to explore and maximise their talent.
To facilitate 'collaborative competition', enabling them to realise their potential in areas such as teamwork, decision making, leadership, cultural and artistic awareness, confidence building and professionalism.
To enable students to become competent and responsible adults to succeed in their professional career and personal life.
To share ideas and knowledge with regards to theatre.
To celebrate cultural diversity in a globalised world.
Location and Dates:
The final round of the competition is scheduled on January 5, 2013 at Sophia College Auditorium, Breach Candy. The Selected six teams will contest to win. The Elimination round will be held on December 24, 2012. All enrolled teams will be required to submit forms with correct details of the play and the participants. Last date for receiving entries is December 9, 2012.
