A Selection of Plays in Mumbai on World Theatre Day...

MEERA

Internationally, 27th of March is dedicated to the theatre community and World Theatre Day is celebrated around the world. Mumbai too will join the celebrations with the staging of Ansh Theatre's JOKE (English) by Makrand Deshpande, MEERA (Gujarati) by Dharmendra Gohil Productions, GUTI PHULOR GAMUSA by UTSA, Assam in Assamese, AIN VASANTAT ARDHYA RATRI (Marathi) by the Academy of Theatre Arts, Mumbai University.

GUTI PHULOR GAMUSA and AIN VASANTAT ARDHYA RATRI are part of the 6th edition of the drama festival organized by the Academy of Theatre Arts, Mumbai University. The Assamese play will take place at 4 pm at the Marathi Bhasha Bhavan and the Marathi play-a student's production will take place at 7 pm at the Muktakaash Ranga Manch. Both venues are at the Kalina Campus, Mumbai University.

Then there is CRYSTAL ANNIVERSARY (English), a new original play written by Salone Mehta, and directed by Yashwant Singh and MANCH ANDHERE MEIN (Hindi) by Dr. Narendra Mohan.
